Dornier Do228

Twin engined commuter / regional airliner and STOL utility transport.

Two main versions; the short fuselage 100 series with better performance, longer range but only 15 seats and the 200 series with less range but higher payload and 19 seats.

I’m supplying the following versions:

Do228-101 - the next 100 series as flown by DLR and AWI (Deutches zentrum fuer Luft- und Raumfahrt / Albert Wegener Institute) of Germany.

Do228-201 - the early stretched fuselage version.

Do228-202 - a further development 200 series, also built by HAL in India.

Do228-212K - the latest 200 series and last production run of the Dornier factory.

Updated to v2.4 per may 2023 with new engine settings (fixed turbine model) and other corrections.

Dornier Do28E TNT

The Do28E TNT was the testbed for Dornier's new TNT (Tragfluegel Neue Technologie) wing, the Do A5 profile; to be used on Dornier's later models like the Do228 & 328 series, the Do24 ATT and the Seastar.

Updated to v2.4 per may 2023. Like the Do228 above, now with new engine settings (fixed turbine model).

Dornier Do28D Skyservant

The Do28D Skyservant is a twin-engine STOL utility aircraft. The high wing and side mounted engines are the only resemblance with the older Do28's; other than that it is just a different and slightly larger aircraft. To extend the range the Skyservant could be fitted with pylon tanks.

Model variants include the earlier Do28D-1 model, the later Do28D-2 as standard and Long Range and the Do28D G92 turboprop conversion (Walter M601-D2)

Dornier Do28A & B

'Twin-engined version of the Do27' would be a suitable description of this one.

The Do28A was a twin-engine development of the Do27 STOL utility aircraft, retaining the same cabin, rear fuselage, tail and main wing (tough having increased wingspan).

The 'B' model had more powerful engines and increased MTOW.

Dornier Do27

Dornier's first post-WWII aircraft, designed and built in Spain to a requirement of the Spanish Air Force. Kind of a modern day Storch; a single engined STOL liaison and light transport aircraft.

A & B models are very similar, only difference being that the A were 'single control' (pilot only) and the B were 'double control' (pilot and co-pilot).

The H2 has a more powerful engine and higher MTOW. You will probably enjoy this one better :-)

The S stands for ‘schwimmer', the factory’s experimental model on floats.

Dornier Do128-6

The Do128-6 was Dornier’s own turboprop version of the Do28D, powered by P&W Canada PT6A-110 engines.
