Fokker F27 Friendship

Twin engined turboprop commuter / regional airliner.

Probably the closest to being the fabled DC-3 replacement.

The Fokker F-27 began life as a 1950 design study for a 32 seater powered by two RollsRoyce Dart turboprops. First flight was on November 24 1955 and it remained in production until the mid 1980’s when its successor the F50 came to life.

Updated data and settings, minor corrections and now including engines with A.D.I. -water injection boost.

Offered in the following versions: mk200, mk400, mk400 MPA Maritime (SAR), mk400M (military transport), mk 500 (the stretched version), mk600 and mk600 Firefighter (combat forest fires).

Yes this model still is mostly PlaneMaker, with little use of 3D parts and has a 2D cockpit/panel; but photo based 360º interior views are available.

New 8-2023 - a quick mod/conversion of the F27 to Fairchild FH227 standards (very simple model, might be slightly off specs).
