Assorted vehicles (ex-v566)
Just a collections of ‘assorted vehicles’ remaining from the dESPair adventures back in XP v566, sometime around 2003-2005.
Plain and simple models... Go ahead, just try them; not for the looks but for the fun.
>The Auster J1 Autocrat - simple rendition of this classic light aircraft.
>The Found Aircraft Bush Hawk - a modern, light bush plane from Canada. Rendition was built in and based on data from 2005
>Easy - a tricycle-motorbike (in)famous from the ‘Greater Klunk night raid’, when captains Brick and Hak decide to race a pair of these bikes cross-country through the Klunk valley and Sixtus B..
>Forty red - a 40ft ‘cigarette boat’, one of the vehicles involved with the ’Norseman Monument Caper’ in Red Lake.
>Messerschmitt - most of you would probably be expecting a WWII fighter… which it is not :-) This is a simple rendition of aKR175 or KR200 and was a load of fun for networked racing. That’s what we did at dESPair for the Sixtus B. racing cup; place a few pylons and bars to block part of of the runways and taxiways at DFSB, creating sort of circuit and then ‘unleash the sheer power of the Messerschmitts’and race 3 or 4 of them in a networked session of XP.
>Splashing Trout - This one comes with a story. Once upon a time, when the group stayed for a long season in and around Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, and the weather got really socked in... flying -even low level- wasn't possible and we still needed to move cargo and passengers around; we had to improvise and like road transport was too slow, we had to take to the water... This used to be a derelict Beaver, that's all I can say.
>SZD-24 Foka5 - Well, just a glider; just for the sake of not using on of the standard downloads back then.
>VW Bus T1 - Sometimes our destinations couldn’t be reached directly by aircraft…
On the other hand it (as the hippy bus) was also cpt. Skybuster’s favourite free time transport.
The v1051 snowtrack version (2017) was built for inspecting Antarctic sceneries from the ground.
>VW Syncro DoppelK - another one of our land vehicles. This one was extensively tested by cpt. Brick for LAPES and parachute delivery <huge grin>
