Other/miscellaneous ALE-2 Chaff pod (high capacity) Target pod (laser) Info, hints and caveats Big Kaboom in xp 11 - everything explodes in xp11 :( even the weapons with zero weight warhead and type 'none'. XP9 (v970) weapons can be used in xp10 (v1051). Yes, in this versions the zero weight warheads (training) don't explode. XP11 weapons are slightly different here and there; converting/using older v9 or v10 weapons will require some adjustments -read here: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/234953-weapons-in-xp11/ My weapons are built (as close as possible) to weight and size; that means that loading them on your aircraft has implications for your weight and balance. If the attachment points/pylons on your aircraft were placed at a credible position then it should be fine. Does you aircraft's empty weight include that of armament (usually so for guns/cannons) then you might want to edit your empty weight in PlaneMaker to subtract the weight of my guns/cannons. Again, placement of these weapons has influence on your CoG. Weight of the guns/cannons includes the weight of ammunition; hence there may be different versions of the same gun: i.e. for the Hispano cannon the suffix DR60 means 'drum of 60 rounds' or BF140 for 'belt feed 140 rounds', likewise a the 350 suffix for a machinegun stands for 350 rounds. At this time I'm supplying all guided weapons setup as 'self radar guided', as I've been using/testing them agains AI 'vehicles' in XP -which is some fun :) To use this weapons you will need an aircraft with radar screen (so you can see/follow and select your targets and of course the usual weapon selector switches. Hint- for the selector the guided bombs are not a 'bomb' but a 'missile'. A weapons console is also handy to select your weapons when more of the same type are loaded. If/when you want (some of) the weapons to be TV-guided, you will have to change that in PlaneMaker yourself. then of course you will need a stable aircraft with, in addition to the weapons selector and console, a camera console (to see what your weapons sees and aim to the target). Snakeye bombs - as we don't have speed brakes for the weapons I'm using a parachute -a fitting texture included. Guns and cannons - Cannons are supplied with 2 setups; as 'gun' and as 'rocket' (launcher). The later was done for aircraft that have both guns and cannons, to allow you to switch between firing one or the other. Not very nice in xp11 as the rockets are quite explosive -see above 'kaboom'- The ALE-2 Chaff pod only works in xp11, for xp9-10 it is only a cosmetic add-on. To use the chaff pod in xp11 you will need a chaff button in your aircraft. OK, back to Nam then; you can use this beauty to lay down a corridor of some 80nm :) AGM-65 Maverick family - the differences re mostly cosmetic, as we don't have all the different systems/cameras for them. Yes, weights/warhead differences are present. Something goes for the Paveway and JDAM; sorry no laser or GPS guidance... but the radar guidance is good against AI vehicles. And as such -the radar guidance- is a handy bonus for the like of the Shrike, HARM even the Mavericks and Harpoon; you can use them now as AA-missiles (specially the Shrike and HARM are very useful). Have fun! Pedro
